Expert panelists will discuss the current situation for women being recruited to boards, what public and private companies are seeking in board members, how to position and market yourself for board positions, and how to be successful once you get there.

Please join the HBSWA for a panel discussion on how to get on Boards of Directors on April 13, 6:30 - 8:30 pm. Featured Panelists include:

Myra Hart, HBS Professor of Entrepreneurship, who serves on the Boards of Kraft Foods and Office Depot (among others)

Julie Norris, Board Services Specialist for Spencer Stuart, a leading global executive search firm

Christine Tetreault, Assistant Director of HBS Alumni Career and & Professional Development, who manages the HBS Board of Directors Alumni Resume Database

Linda Kanner, Executive in Residence and Adjunct Professor at Babson College, Board Member of JuliannaRae.com and former Board Member of Designershoes.com

Laura Rippy, former Microsoft exec and startup CEO on career sabbatical (as full-time mom), who made her professional re-entry through Advisory Board and recently Chairman of the Board positions

These expert panelists will discuss the current situation for women being recruited to boards, what public and private companies are seeking in board members, how to position and market yourself for board positions, and how to be successful once you get there.  We expect a lively panel discussion, with plenty of time for Q&A.
